In September 1998, the Department of Electronic Engineering was renamed as the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, which is indeed a milestone marking the commitment of the Department to high quality teaching and research. Following the renaming of our Alma Mater Department, the Alumni Association of Electronic Engineering (AAENC) was formally renamed as the Alumni Association of Electronic and Information Engineering (AAEIE) during the Annual General Meeting held in 26 February 1999.
